The Seething Trycyclingathon - Sunday 15th September.
This event is for everyone who rides
or wants to get back on a bicycle.
Three different routes have been suggested to suit the different levels of fitness and confidence of each cyclist - or you can just cycle where you want to. The important thing is for everyone to end up back at Claremont Gardens in Surbiton where we can celebrate. Just register your interest by using the box on the top right.
The Experienced Ride will start at 10am and finish at approximately 1pm taking in some of the beautiful countryside and incorporating some of the Olympic cycling route. (approx 44 miles)
The Family Ride will start at 11.30 and finish at approximately 1pm. A gentler ride alongside the river crossing the river twice and taking in roads, park and riverbank. (approx 10 miles)
The Vintage Ride will start at 11.45 and finish at approximately 1.15pm. (approx 5 miles)
This is an opportunity to cycle your vintage, custom or classic bike and wear your finest classic period cycling clothes (Victorian, Edwardian, Steampunk - or whatever you want) and enjoy a ‘tip top’ ride around Seething in the fresh air until the cheeks redden.
A route that incorporates local points of historical interest with a brief stop for a cup of tea has been designed for your delectation and pleasure
You will be able to store your clothes and other equipment at Glenmore House by Claremont Gardens whilst you cycle. So why not bring along a picnic and enjoy a light lunch after your ride on the delightful Claremont Gardens and listen to gentle entertainment as you relax after a mornings exercise. Perhaps your family and friends (if you have any) may join you to celebrate your achievement
